Being a proud Americans we are happy to celebrate on February 1st National Freedom Day. This day observes the singing of the 13th amendment to the constitution that outlawed slavery. This is a great day to honor the wisdom of our forefathers that saw all men as free people. The holiday was recognized in 1948 long before Black History Month.
How do we celebrate this holiday? Many towns have festivals. As an individual you can have a small party or dinner to celebrate being free, be sure to included bells and wreaths in your decorations!
